Jr. .Net Developer – MN

We are seeking candidates for a full time employee position with our client here in the Twin Cities area. Prefer candidates interested in a full time position only.

Here is a brief job description: Candidate will be able to work directly with business stakeholders to gain an understanding of their problems and then formulate creative solutions. Extremely strong communication skills are required. Candidate will be asked to research new technologies and become the “domain expert” with them. Platform used is Microsoft .Net and SQL Server along with other Microsoft-based technologies. C# is the primary application development language and AJAX Web development is also used in many areas.

Responsibilities:

- Perform general development tasks (estimates, programming, testing, etc) as assigned by Systems Architect and Project Manager

- Assist in requirements gathering as requested by Systems Architect and Project Manager

- Help maintain applications via assigned bug fixes and maintenance tasks

- Create and maintain documentation as required

- Assist Systems Architect in technical designs as requested

- Provide regular status reports to Systems Architect, Project Manager, and IT Director as requested

- Keep Systems Architect informed of development decisions, issues, and concerns

- Help business staff with any PC or application troubleshooting needs as they arise

Required Skills:

- 2+ years of development experience with Microsoft .NET and SQL Server

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field

Desired Skills:

- Strong understanding of Microsoft .NET, Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008, and Microsoft technologies

- High capacity for quickly learning business processes, technologies, and development methodologies

- Ability to develop creative and efficient solutions for hard to solve problems

- Strong programming background and understanding of Object Oriented Design principles

- Understanding of Database Management Systems – including schema, stored procedures, and scalability

- Desire to work with Microsoft-based technologies (.NET, SQL Server, Windows Server, IIS, etc)
