Information Security Analyst – MN

We are seeking a Information Security Analyst in the Twin Cities area. This position could be either a full time perm employee position or part time contracting role, so candidates should be interested in W2 hourly (employees contracting, paid based upon hours billed, generally 40 hours per week) or Independents with S-Corps or LLCs.

This is a security operations position. CISSP preferred but not required.

Required experience:

- Patch management: Prefer experience using Patchlink to report patching status. Utilize scanning tools to identify systems that do not have Patchlink installed. Assist system support and engineering teams to resolve patching issues.

- Antivirus: Knowledge of Trend Micro anti-virus, Document SOP for handling and cleaning infected machines (virus infections). Serve as escalation point for HelpDesk AV issues. Identify systems that do not have up to date anti virus installed. Produce monthly AV status reports using Anti-Virus Console.

- Perimeter Monitoring: Knowledge of Fortinet Analyzer (Fortinet firewalls and Universal Threat Management). Review firewall rules on a quarterly basis. Work with network engineers to enable IPS (Intrusion Prevention System). Monitor events produced by firewall IPS.

- Vulnerability: Team with Infrastructure group to remediate and engineer solutions for identified system vulnerabilities
